I'm the creator, and DIY-er behind The Dessy Dwelling. I am here to prove that you don't need a huge budget (or a perfect plan) to create a home you love. I live for transforming my dated, builder-grade house into a bold, moody, maximalist home. My style? A mix of vintage charm, rich colors, and a touch of drama- because why not go all in?
Most days are spent juggling big projects and big ideas. I am the kind of person who looks at a wall and thinks, This needs picture molding, or at a room and says, "Let's color drench it." My husband is usually right there with me - helping with the heavy lifting, rolling his eyes when I bring up ANOTHER project, making sure I don't go compleaty off the rails. We make a good team.
I am also a mom to an amazing teenage daughter, who keeps me on my toes and reminds me why creating a home filled with love and personality matters so much. We also have four dogs, who are pros at tracking dirt onto freshly cleaned floors and keeping things interesting around here. Life gets messy, but I wouldn't trade it.
